Movado Watch Co., a high end luxury Swiss watch brand, was founded by Achilles Ditesheim in 1881 in the town of La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland at the tender young age of 19.  In 1983 it was acquired by Gedalio Grinberg, a native New Yorker, who was an avid arts enthusiast. The current Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Movado Group Inc. is Gedalio’s son Efraim Grinberg.
